Analysis on Application of Heat Recovery to Energy-Saving Benefit of Ice-Warm-Hot Water Dispenser

Article Preview

Abstract:

This study aims to reduce running time of ice-warm-hot drinking system in heating and refrigerating for the purpose of saving energy. In the experiment warm water heat exchanger and preheater are used to perform primary and secondary preheating of raw water and cooling the water fed into the ice water bucket to reduce running time of heater and refrigerating system. The experiment result shows that the system equipped with heat recovery device can reduce times of heating and refrigerating under heat preservation mode for 24 hours; under differential operation conditions, the system equipped with warm water heat exchanger and preheater saves energy by 7.9%-35.2%. The heat recovery device installed by this study indeed reduces electricity consumption of the system.
