Resource and Environment Constraints and Sustainable Urbanization Development in China

Article Preview

Abstract:

There is an intrinsic linkage between the resources and environment and the urbanization development. The state of urban resources and environment directly affects the size and speed of urbanization, while urbanization development has some adverse effects on resources and environment, too. This research indicates that, under the constraints of limited resources and environment, China must take the road of sustainable urbanization. However, the core of sustainable urbanization is to promote urban green planning, construction and development. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the ecology-oriented development of the industries and the communities in the cities.
