Auto-Detecting System for Circulating Tumor Cells Based on LabView

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper is aimed to introduce an automatic detecting system for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) based on LabView. This system mainly employs multi-way valve to control the whole experimental process, with separating and enriching the overexpressed EpCAM cells in blood, then using immunohistochemical stain for cells. Cameras are used to collect multiple fluorescence images of staining cells and LabView analyzes those cell image. The characterizations of images are used to determine whether the cells are CTCs and the number of CTCs, following the analysis of associated biochemical characteristics.
