Abstract:

Hub-and-Spoke network that originated from the aircraft industry of USA has aroused the extensive concern from the business and academic circles. The range of Hub-and-Spoke network application extended to other scopes such as transportation and tourisms. On account of the obvious advantages of scale merit, agglomeration economies and space efficiency. Hub-and-Spoke network has been testified the effective organizational forms in the actual operation from the freights transportation to the production organization. Many research results about the Hub-and-Spoke network have been received presently, but there is rarely research on the applications of logistics industry, the formative mechanism, the combination with the regional economic policy etc under the special regional environment.
