The Research on Software Measurement Process Model and Data Acquisition and Analysis

Abstract:

Software metrics include project metrics, product metrics and process metrics. Software measurement process model embodies the relations among the three aspects of collection mechanism, analysis evaluation and project control of the metrics data. The three measurement activities and measurement information can be respectively applied to effective data acquisition, measurement process improvement and software process management. Data collection and analysis are the key to the software measurement process, the continued advancement of their technologies and methods has important significance on the improvement of software measurement process.
