Static Finite Element Analysis of Large Liquefied Natural Gas Prestressed Storage Tank

Article Preview

Abstract:

Finite element analysis of LNG prestressed storage tank which was under various load conditions was carried out. The calculation results show that the low temperature load and prestress force are the control load which affect the storage tank stress. Further, some recommendations on the configuration of the prestressed reinforcement have been made so as to provide the basis for the design optimization of prestressed LNG tanks.
