Study of the Bulk Index Measuring Methods on Foamed Asphalt Cold Recycling Specimens

Article Preview

Abstract:

For the foamed asphalt cold recycling mixture,we mould the specimens under two different gradation using Marshall compaction method. Then we measure the bulk specific density using the volumetrical method, the corelock method, the wax-sealing method and the saturated surface dry method, calculate the porosity and compare the results. The conclusion is that the results are almost the same under the corelock method, the wax-sealing method and the saturated surface dry method, we can choose the saturated surface dry method to gain the porosity in practical use.
