Application of IPV6 Wireless Sensor Network on Advanced Measuring System for Smart Grid

Article Preview

Abstract:

With the rapid development of the smart grid, IP protocol which supports end-to-end application becomes the core of network. Smart meters will become intelligent, miniaturization, multi-functional, precise measurement, interactive and high-speed communication development. Smart meters based on IP protocol must be the trend of the future.IPv6 gradually replacing IPv4 becomes the only choice of deploying IP network. In this paper, we implement AMI system which can achieve real-time management and control. acquire It needs unify deployment of smart meters in the whole building and concentrate them to the gateway by using end-to-end IPv6 wireless sensor network communication protocol.
