Abstract: Plugged tee is the easilyworn part of an exhaust pipe during air drilling because of the flow of the compressed air with the entrained cutting particles. The effects of the particle size on the erosion of the plugged tee are studied by computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Mathematical models of the flow of the compressed air with the entrained cutting particles through the plugged tee are built and imported into the CFD through embedding procedures. After boundary conditions and the parameter of the particle size are given, the motion paths of cuttings in the different particle size in the plugged tee and its effects on erosion of the plugged tee are obtained. Erosions in the plugged tee are mainly distributed in the wall of the buffer segment and the joints and mainly caused by the scope of the particle size of cuttings. The motion paths and the residence time of cuttings with different particle size are different, so the erosions of the joints and the buffer segment are different.

Abstract: Electric furnace for thermal treatment to recover valuable materials from spent batteries was newly designed to enhance it with safe, efficient, and eco-friendly processes. Spent batteries were handled in the furnace at 500°C for 2 hours under argon atmosphere and they were found to be separated in side reactor with easy. The electrodic powder including valuable metals such as Mn, Ni, Co, Zn, etc. was recovered from bulk components through sieving process.

Abstract: Paper presents a novel approach to modeling of a micro-combined heat and power (μ-CHP) unit with solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The proposed numerical simulator can be applied both to the analysis of a system operation in the design point and in off-design. Main components of the power system have been represented by dedicated sub-models, incorporated in the numerical simulator of a complete μ-CHP unit. The proposed modeling platform offers the possibility of analyzing system with different solid oxide fuel cells, its operation at partial loads and with various fuels. Components of the system can be modified, technical specifications can be adjusted in order to allow simulation of other components. The main equations for electrical and overall efficiency calculations are given and discussed.

Abstract: Based on the elastic model of a long-distance transmission roller chain, the elastodynamic analysis was taken in this paper, which has given unregulated displacement of chains. With RecurDyn software for the analysis and verification of the theoretical results, the displacement curves of X-axis, Y-axis and total displacement was obtained, which proved that the elastodynamic analysis on long-distance transmission roller chains is feasible with a continuous model.

Abstract: Explain the existing device to avoid reeling cocoon sinking in automatic silk reeling machine, research the prevention of cocoon sinking automatically, and provide the integrated solution to keep cocoons in arrangement for reeling. In general, stop motion rod sends a signal when a minor fault occurs in each end, takes the initiative to prevent fault spread to knotty fault which causes a series of bad effects. Then coordinate with interlocked equilibrium, through end feeding cam to control separating plate, ensure the process safe in the most economical way for the industrial market demand. Operators need not handle the system manually while treating the faults, then removing hidden trouble and raising labor efficiency, so higher grade raw silk can be produced. This technique used can improve machine performances, it is the basis on which silk reeling machine should continue to develop.

Abstract: The working principle of complete fluidic sprinkler was introduced, the inlet section was changed by the activity pieces relative movement, and the wetted radius was changed with it. The structure form was designed to achieve a triangle spraying. The performance parameter of variable-rate sprinkler was introduced, they include the flow, wetted radius, spraying uniformity and sprinkler irrigation intensity. The hydraulic performance experiments of triangle sprinkler were carried out by the automatic measurement system. The change of wetted radius curve and irrigation water distribution map was achieved. The maximum value of wetted radius was 20.1 meters and the minimum value was 8.5 meters. The variable irrigation of triangle was achieved. The figure coefficient was great, and the effect was better.

Abstract: The article describes main trends in cutting performance enhancement: traditional force cutting and high-speed machining. Results of analysis of products by world's leading manufacturers of motorized spindles are provided, and conclusion is made that the most used standard for connection between spindle and toolholder in drilling, milling and boring machines is HSK. Limitations of operational features of motorized spindles by load capacity of HSK connection and efficiency of tool usage are shown.

Abstract: The article describes the problem of reasonable choice of parameters of main motion drive of modern multi-purpose machine tools. Authors propose a multi-purpose methodological model for reasonable estimation of operational capabilities of motorized spindles and efficiency of equipment usage for performing of required technological operations. Dependencies are provided considering influence of HSK connection on operational parameters of drives.

Abstract: The accidents of truck crane happen frequently during working because of the structure failure of hoist boom, which result in severe economic loss and casualties. So, the method combining probabilistic and interval hybrid reliability theory with Bayesian Network is proposed to analyze the reliability of hoist boom structure. Probabilistic and interval hybrid model is built aiming at the interval variables and random variables to calculate the failure probability of hoisting boom under different conditions. Bayesian Network model is applied to calculate the importance index of different failure causes. In the end of the paper, practical example is given to illustrate the validity and efficiency of the present approach, which can provide basis for hoist boom design based on reliability.

Abstract: Using mechanism design and dynamic analysis software, the simulation is conducted about grasping operation and moving objects for multi redundant manipulator on the basis of mechanism design and theoretical research, as well as the snake crawling motion simulation. The simulation results validate the correctness of theory analysis. The each joint driving torque data and curve provided the effective data basis for the design and development of a prototype.
