Influence of Sulfoaluminate Cement on the Performances of Self-Leveling Mortar

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, sulphoaluminate cement was used to design a high early age strength self-leveling mortar. The properties of self-leveling mortar was investigated in different mixing proportion of sulphoaluminate cement, including fluidity, flexural strength and compressive strength. In addition, XRD was used to analyses the hydration products of compound gel system. The results show that sulphoaluminate cement can adjust the workability of self-leveling mortar and limit the rate of bleeding. Meanwhile, sulphoaluminate cement can raise the flexural and compressive strength. However, the mixing proportion should be held within the scope of 25%. The XRD results indicate that the formation of ettringite mainly improves the early age strength of self-leveling mortar.
