The doctrine of the mean thought as the highest value standard of Confucian culture in traditional architecture reflected is inevitable. through the analysis of the traditional architecture in the doctrine of the mean, The author discuss the functions of the mean thought in the layout designing Chinese traditional building, space form and value judgment . Through the study on the relationship between traditional culture and architecture, it can provide a new perspective for creation.
