The Analysis of Value of Travel Time of Students in Guangzhou High Education Center

Abstract:

Travel time results from the process of travel, so the value of travel time is an important parameter for trip mode choice. The estimation of the value of travel time is the result of a comprehensive and multi-index calculation, which is affected by many factors. Using one questionnaire, this paper gets the data of travel willingness of Sun Yet-San University students in Guangzhou High Education Center. On the basis of the data, this paper analyzes the influence factors of value of travel time of students in Guangzhou High Education Center in detail. This paper improves the utility function considering travel time and cost, and establishes the concept of value of travel time of Guangzhou High Education Center students. Through the analysis of the public-transportation system to the outside of Guangzhou High Education Center at present, this paper provides optimizing suggestions.
