A Novel MPPT Method Combining CVT and Fuzzy Control Applied in PV Power System

Article Preview

Abstract:

The power available at the output of photovoltaic (PV) cells keeps changing with solar irradiation and ambient temperature because PV cells exhibit a nonlinear current-voltage characteristic. In order to gain maximum power in PV power system, a novel MPPT method combining CVT and fuzzy control was proposed in this paper. The principle of the novel MPPT method was given and the verified experiment was performed at the same time. Experiment results show that the novel MPPT method have the fast tracking ability in changing weather and more tracking accuracy in stable condition simultaneously.
