The Design and Realization of 3D Virtual Campus

Article Preview

Abstract:

The technology of Virtual Reality (VR) has been widely used in many industries and fields. It also injects fresh energy into the construction and implementation of 3D Virtual Campus. Taking Lintong Campus of Xi’an University of Science and Technology as a prototype, this paper used SketchUp and 3DS MAX to construct 3D scene model of campus. Furthermore, Quest3D and Virtual Reality Engine were used as the basic developing platform to implement 3D Virtual Campus. This paper focused on the modeling method of the mountain terrain and the collision detection of big scenes.
