Abstract:

Abstract. Combined with the Jiangbei wastewater treatment plant project in Yushu city, Jilin province, China, the design scheme, the system and the function for the automatic control system were summarized. The problems of the great change of water quality and quantity, dissatisfaction of design load and other issues existed in WWTP were solved. From the aspects of control strategy and microbial reaction mechanism, etc., the energy consumption for each processing unit under the control of automatic control system was analyzed. And the system performance and power consumption were evaluated by the WWWP’s operation results. The results show that: the quality of effluent is stable and the energy saving effect is remarkable by the use of automatic control system.
