This article depicts the history of computer and multimedia assisted English teaching, reviews the research held in this field and the two-phase practice, analyzes the advantages and existing problems in computer assisted EFL teaching, and describes the new trends of it that has just appeared and will definitely influence the English teaching profoundly.
