The Reasonable Length Study of Fishing Quay by Flexible Berthing

Article Preview

Abstract:

Current fishing port regulation on the number of berths calculation, is taking the method of fixed berthing, regarding every berth as an independent one. This paper analyzes the characteristic of fishing docks by flexible berthing, use Arena to solve out the optimal length of shoreline under the condition of fixed through capacity. Then, compare the results with that calculated by the way of fixed berthing, 11.7% of the shoreline length can be saved, which has demonstrate its advantage.
