Abstract: Declarative framework enabling to determine conditions employed in a decision support systems aimed at small and medium size enterprises involved in a unique, multi project-like and mass customized oriented production is discussed. The unique production orders grouped into the set of portfolio orders is considered. To each production order treated as an activity network of common shared resources, known in advance, however by nature imprecise operation times are allotted. The problem concerns of scheduling of a newly inserted projects portfolio taking into account imprecise operations imposed by a multi–project environment. The answer sought is: Whether a given portfolio can be completed within assumed time period in a manufacturing system in hand The goal is to provide a declarative model enabling to state a constraint satisfaction problem aimed at multi project-like and mass customized oriented production scheduling. The attached calculation example illustrates the computational efficiency of the proposed solution.

Abstract: The article comprises the characteristics of projects within Information and Communication Technology (ICT), indicates some problems occurring during the implementation of such projects and involves their success factors. Sources of problems are perceived mostly in a poor adjustment of internal organization of ICT sector enterprises to assure appropriate support for the project team, too low flexibility of traditional methods of ICT project implementation and organization processes. Project implementation is considered from the ICT sector enterprises point of view, and the indicated factors of success in the measure accomplishment processes management are associated with the ICT project (presented as number 1 in Table 1), process management in ICT enterprise (number 2 in Table 1), as well as elements of such an enterprise (number 3) and its environment (4).

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to presents an interdisciplinary approach to the problem of manufacturing process support using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by introducing a cross physical-information control system concept. The scope of the article covers description of logical architecture concept, data exchange process and autonomous steering mechanism using artificial intelligent method. The article indicates that in order to successfully support manufacturing process using Artificial Intelligence proper logical support system architecture need to be applied. It is important to emphasize that the use of AI method is not enough to cover multidimensional production issues of gathering and processing data. Therefore whole system need to be organized in this way to support AI with data to be processed. Thanks to that, it is possible to meet many different goals and achieve significant results in the field of manufacturing process. Because of that in this paper the main focus is put on system logical architecture with descriptions of each element involved. Moreover, the article describes AI controller mechanism applied running on real time raw data collected from machines and products. Findings presented within paper could be use in real case scenarios as a design pattern to develop, deploy or optimize production management systems in small-medium enterprises based on low cost solutions of Internet of Things (IoT) providing data to be analyzed with use of cloud computing technology running AI algorithms.

Abstract: This article discusses the conditions for and benefits of using the GPS technology and cost-effectiveness analysis of implementing the technology at a transport business. The GPS technology allows transport businesses to streamline their business management processes. This includes not only monitoring, but also supervision, including online supervision, of the process of delivering transport services. In particular, the technology allows transport businesses to identify the location of its vehicles, to monitor the work of their drivers and to modify the service delivery process to reflect new circumstances as they occur.

Abstract: This paper describes an algorithm for forecasting transport based on analysis of process dynamics in the macroeconomic environment of transport. The article describes one of the shortcomings of forecasting what are the methods for determining the adequacy of the forecasting models used to analyze the process. It has been reported that the compliance model and the projections can be determined by statistical factors indicating a deviation from the model time series, such as standard deviation, mean, correlation coefficients of correlation coefficient or errors. Presented forecasting involve using technical methods in order to determine the class forecasting models.

Abstract: The contribution deals with the generation of interactive spatial solutions to manufacturing systems by means of virtual reality. It characterizes experimental work aimed at creating 3D models of manufacturing systems through technical and software resources of virtual reality. For innovative work is considered an example of data gloves in a virtual manufacturing environment. Data glove is used for placement of models means of production in manufacturing three-dimensional space.

Abstract: When planning a new manufacturing system, the optimal investment in the system capacity is a major decision to make. The problem of capacity planning is not an easy because of the unpredictable character of the market demand and multi-criteria optimization character of the task. Therefore there is still no one complex methodology of the capacity planning and management. In this paper some mathematical models for capacity planning which can be used at the stage of manufacturing system design or expansion are presented.

Abstract: Proper selection of personnel constitutes a frequent challenge for the management of many enterprises. In this paper the above problem has been defined using three objective functions which required simultaneous optimisation. To solve this problem, computer modelling based on Petri nets was proposed. The model was subjected to iterative computer simulation, during which various variants of workstation assignment were tested. This resulted in the emergence of a variant which best fulfilled the assumed optimisation criteria.
