Research on the Sustainability of Urbanization in China

Abstract:

Since the reform and opening up of China, the urbanization process has accelerated. While China has made great achievements, some problems affecting economic and sustainable development have occurred. Firstly, this article analyzes two typical phenomena in the Chinese urbanization process, namely "under-urbanization" and "passive urbanization". It then explores the institutional factors and recommends corresponding solutions, aiming to promote the development of Chinese urbanization in a healthy and stable way.
