The Current Situation Investigation and Countermeasure on Employees' Pressure in the Information Technology Industry

Abstract:

With the development of knowledge economy in the twenty-first century, the severe stress of employees in the Information Technology industry which as a typical representative of high and new technology industry has become the consensus of the industry. The negative effects of the too much pressure on the employees and organizations have been prominent. On the basis of predecessors' achievements, this paper reviews the sources of stress and the relationship between stress management and job performance.It points out the consequences of working pressure.We choose Dalian area as the target groups.Through working pressure questionnaire investigation and depth interview method, we can see that the staff in IT industry have obvious working pressure. These pressure not only affects the staff's physical and mental health, but also influence the employee's work efficiency. We put forward suggestions on pressure management of the employees in Dalian area.
