Abstract:

This paper contains a comparative study on the embedded energy in the simple masonry and welded bars reinforced masonry. The calculation starts from a unique study for Romania achieved in the conditions of centralized economy and highlights the amount of energy incorporated in building materials, expressed in J. It is also realized a calculation for the mechanical work, which is an exchange of energy between the system and the environment.
