Applied Technology in Using HPLC for Determining Aflatoxin Contents in Peanuts

Article Preview

Abstract:

Aflatoxins in grinded peanuts were extracted with 70% methanol and purified with immuno affinity column. In order to enhance the test sensitivity, the Aflatoxin was derived by trifluoroacetic acid. the derived Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 were analyzed by HPLC with fluorescence detector. The determination could be completed in 14 minutes. The detect limits of Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 were 0.04μg/kg, 0.01μg/kg, 0.20μg/kg and 0.02μg/kg respectively, the recoveries were from 81.0% to 115.0%, the relative standard deviations were less than 8.2%.
