Research on Safety Evacuation of Large-Scale Railway Passenger Transport Hub

Article Preview

Abstract:

Taking Guangzhou East Railway Station for example, BuildingEXODUS was used to simulate the passengers evacuation and the empirical formula of evacuation time was used to verify the simulation results. The flow calculation method of evacuation number design value in large-scale railway passenger transport hub was presented. The results show that the passengers on the higher floors should evacuate towards the direction of the train platform rather than towards the lower floors. The results of the flow calculation method of evacuation number design value were closer to the actual situation.
