Probably before the Tang Dynasty, it always took the shape of hole in order to drain and prevent others from entering city. From the Song Dynasty on, for the sake of navigation, the majority of water gates became the sluice gate that could go up and down.

Abstract: The vast area of distribution of soft clay with poor engineering property of our country, on the soft clay subgrade treatment by drainage consolidation method. As a kind of drainage consolidation method, vacuum preloading consolidation of soft soil foundation in recent years have been widely used, and achieved very good engineering and economic benefits. The theory research about vacuum preloading behind the engineering practice, restricted the further development of the technology and engineering application, it is necessary to make a systematic study. Through the comparative analysis of the test results, the vacuum causes soil consolidation, on this basis, the surcharge preloading and vacuum preloading contrast of the vacuum preloading mechanism, analyzes various factors foundation reinforcement finally strengthening effect by vacuum preloading.

Abstract: In this study, the numerical experiments are performed to determine the shear capacity of RC beams strengthened by external steel plate. The numerical parameters include plate dimension, plate curtailment, and thickness of glue. According to numerical results, the shear capacity equation of plated RC beam was modified by regress of experimental data, and compared with result of finite element predicting.

Abstract: Based on the problems of development and modernization of urban transportation in China, it introduces the fact that the widely construction of expressway over the past decade as a starting point to analyze its characteristics. Firstly, it analyzes the features of intersection and general design principles of intersection, and studies the specific design methods of intersection. Secondly, the paper studies the span arrangement of Prestressed Concrete Continuous Girder Bridge based on the structural characteristics of the bridge itself. Finally, it studies the span arrangement concerning the traffic design of intersection, and the writer designs the traffic arrangement of intersection and the span arrangement of the bridge above, which is located at the middle ring expressway, Kunshan, Jiangsu and eastern part of Jianghai expressway, Nantong, Jiangsu to give an example.

Abstract: Light steel structure with added stories is a economic and effective method of strengthening design for existing buildings, and it is promoted and applied widely. But it still has some problems about computing of seismic action effect. The computing is not simply in accordance with the base shear method. The value of dynamic magnification factor which was counted as ß needs further research. In this paper, the value of is 2 on the basis of theoretical analysis and calculation example. The safety factor of the value is higher, and the design with the ß is more economic and reasonable.

Abstract: On the background of 318 highway bridge of the Yinjiang Jihan Navigation Project, it introduces the methods and contents of the construction control of long-span prestressed concrete continuous girder bridge, it adopts Midas/Civil softwares to have a simulation analysis and effective control for the construction process of whole bridge. The result indicates that safety of the bridge construction, linear and the variation of prestress are all in control. Finally, the condition of structure of bridge suits for computational state theoretically.

Abstract: In this paper, the poor applicability problem which the bridge foundation bored piles reinforcement design in the actual application process is not related to specifications is studied, and bored pile length calculation LP is optimized specifically, as well as, friction pile reinforcement design problems are also researched. Verified by examples show that the optimized reinforcement design fully meet engineering safety requirements, meanwhile, more economical.

Abstract: This paper improves the method of calculating the vertical bearing capacity of bored piles, and unifies calculation method of singe pile under horizontal force, as well adds and modifies the design parameters of the specification, finally utilizes actual example to make a unified test of the above methods. The results proved that, through the optimization of bridge foundation design method of bored piles, it can significantly reduce construction cost, and makes the pile length, pile diameter, and reinforcement more safe and reasonable. At the same time, it has great directive significance to the design and construction of the bridge.

Abstract: By employing the AHP and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation to analyze and quantify risk factors, this paper introduces an effective and practical method for risk assessment in the bridge construction. It also illustrates the characteristics and necessity of risk assessment in bridge construction.

Abstract: The Dian Lake Peat soil is studied as the research object in this paper, through the strengthening treatment by adding the cement and some suitable additives as well as a certain amount of waste residue, the compressive strength are taken into consideration in comparison in the different curing composition and other factors in performance of solidified soil. And it importantly discussed the applicability of curing agent and different variables (cement, the formula of curing agent, construction waste, age) in the incremental changes of unconfined compressive strength of curing peat soil.
