Abstract: The multistage goal programming model is popular to model the defense projects portfolio optimization problem in recent years. However, as its high-dimensional variables and large-scale solution space, the addressed model is hard to be solved in an acceptable time. To deal with this challenge, we propose an improved differential evolution algorithm which combines three novel strategies i.e. the variables clustering based evolution, the whole randomized parameters, and the child-individual based selection. The simulation results show that this algorithm has the fastest convergence and the best global searching capability in 6 test instances with different scales of solution space, compared with classical differential evolution algorithm (CDE), genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm.

Abstract: Clonal operator which can reserve the elites is introduced in the selection step of traditional genetic algorithm (GA) to accelerate the local convergence speed. Chaotic search which is randomness and ergodicity is applied in crossover and mutation operators to avoid the algorithm stopping at a local extreme value. The above hybrid GA is called chaotic clonal GA (CCGA) which can overcome the instability of optimizing processes and results in traditional GA by the certainty of chaotic trajectory. The CCGA is applied to solve the problem of load balance routing in differentiated service networks. The routing optimization model is created and the optimizing objective is load balance and small path length. The simulation results show that CCGA has fast convergence speed and high stability. It can meet the requirements of important business routings.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to develop a new method for the material selection problem, which is important for the product design. Material selection problem is actually a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problem which contains many influence factors. The new material selection method is an extension of projection method with evaluation attribution values expressed with triangular fuzzy numbers. Coefficient of variation method is used to determine weights of evaluation attribute. A grinding wheel abrasive material selection problem is used to illustrate the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method.

Abstract: Kalman filter is successfully used to predict the object position under occlusion in this paper. Firstly, according to the target location in the previous frame, Kalman filter predicts target location in the current frame adaptively.Secondly, find the real target location in the neighborhood by mean shift algorithm. Finally, update the filter parameters. Because the adaptive Kalman filter predicts target location through system equation, it can improve the tracking effect in occlusion in a certain degree.

Abstract: Aiming at traditional methods cannot get good performance in noisy environments, an improved method for speech enhancement based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) and Morphology Filtering (MF) was proposed. The method firstly uses EMD to obtain Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) and for hard threshold processing, then selects appropriate structuring element to construct MF for filtering processing in remaining IMFs. Finally, speech enhancement signal is reconstructed for each IMFs. Experimental results show that the proposed method for speech enhancement has better de-noising effect by comparing time-domain waveform and spectrogram. Moreover, the quality of reconstructed speech enhancement signal has been significantly improved.

Abstract: Teaching evaluation is to process the information of the huge amount of teaching data and to evaluate the teaching activity, process and outcome to provide the basis for the quality and decision of teaching. S-P Chart is a typical evaluating method. The paper introduces both traditional and fuzzy S-P chart. Then, the paper proposes three improved S-P methods, including single-knowledge-point analysis, multi-knowledge-point analysis and cognition analysis. All these three improved methods supplements the shortages of traditional S-P and fuzzy S-P, and are implied in an analysis system of the quality of teaching.

Abstract: NCC algorithm for the shortcomings, namely the operation is slow and does not have a real-time. Through multi-valued by differential summation and template matching methods for NCC to improve , it enhances the computing speed of the algorithm and adaptive algorithm. Through lots of experiments to prove, using improved NCC to identify fruits and vegetables, The algorithm has good recognition of fruits and vegetables and has robustness and real-time performance.

Abstract: A delayed impulsive Lotka-Volterra model with mutual interference was established. With the help of Mawhin’s Continuation Theorem in coincidence degree theory, a sufficient condition is found for the existence of positive periodic solutions of the system. A numerical simulation is given to illustrate main results.

Abstract: On the existing theoretical results, this paper studies the realization of combined homotopy methods on optimization problems in a specific class of nonconvex constrained region. Contraposing to this nonconvex constrained region, we give the structure method of the quasi-normal, prove that the chosen mappings on constrained grads are positive independent and the feasible region on SLM satisfies the quasi-normal cone condition. And we construct combined homotopy equation under the quasi-normal cone condition with numerical value and examples, and get a preferable result by data processing.

Abstract: In order to improve the visual effect of different regions within a video frame, in this paper, we propose a general and effective enhancement model for low-illumination video. The proposed method firstly is to change color space from RGB to HSI color space, Then enhance the I channel by nonlinear tone-mapping function. At the same time, in order to reduce the color distortion, we enhance the saturation component S. Finally, color image is reconstructed. Experimental results show the effectiveness and robustness.
