Analysis of Real Fire as a Basis for Future Simulation

Abstract:

Because of the continual tightening of fire safety criteria for apartment buildings is necessary to pay more attention not only to new buildings but to existing buildings as well. The main aim of the article is to analyze a real fire in apartment building, find out the principle of combustion gasses flow in the staircase with elevator situated in the middle and propose a preliminary solution where the staircase will provide the required level of protection for evacuees. This real fire analysis will create the basis for future simulation.
