Abstract: The case ‘Using in situ cold recycling for carriageways in an urban environment within the North of Essex’ was chosen as a sustainability assessment example in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to assess the sustainability of the case above, to specific its impacts on environmental, economic and social aspects, and obtain a result of the assessment. Firstly the background of the case will be introduced, and the impacts and assessment will then be discussed. The result of the assessment will also be presented in the final part.

The Dynamic Response of Large Longitudinal Slope of Asphalt Road Pavement under Heavy Impulsive Load
Abstract: In order to conduct a further investigation of the causes of damages in large longitudinal slope of asphalt road pavement under actual heavy load, a three-dimensional finite element model was established by ANSYS finite element software. Through applying impulsive load in this model, the variation of the strains of large longitudinal slope of asphalt road pavement under different conditions was obtained and the influence of gradient on the dynamic response of large longitudinal slope of asphalt road pavement was analyzed. The results show that the strains of large longitudinal slope of asphalt road pavement increased with the increase of load times. Flexure tensile strain and shear strain were similitude with the change tendency of the increase of overloading rate but the data increased significantly. The transversal shear strain increased with the increase of gradient.

Abstract: With different fine aggregate, gradation type, oil stone ratio, asphalt type specimen molding and molding method and calculate the porosity of the specimen. The experimental results show that the using basalt coarse aggregate and fine aggregate forming specimen, specimen porosity significantly larger, all are beyond the scope of regulatory requirements; If using basalt coarse aggregate and limestone fine aggregate forming specimens, specimen porosity is small, both meet regulatory requirements. The main reason is basalt fines aggregate bulk volume density is too large and not easily compacted. Recommendation: we’d better use of basalt coarse aggregate and limestone fine aggregate forming specimen, try to avoid using basalt aggregate thickness of molded specimen. If the region lacks limestone fines, we should detect the special type of basalt fine aggregate firstly. If the indicators of basalt fines are in line with the requirement, you can use, if the indicators do not meet regulatory requirement, you can not use.

Abstract: Warm mix technology can effectively reduce construction temperature, save energy and reduce environmental pollution, and did not reduce road performance. Retardant technology can effectively inhibit the combustion of asphalt pavement to reduce the generation of smoke. Both at home and abroad for studies in general tend to macroscopic properties and other aspects of road performance, it is necessary to explore the mechanism of its microscopic. This article reviews the large number of domestic and foreign literature, this focus on thermal gravimetric analysis, differential analysis of several common scanning calorimetry and asphalt adhesion evaluation, get a lot of reliable test conclusions for relevant research scholars reference.

Abstract: Compared with hot mix asphalt (HMA), warm mix asphalt (WMA), which reduces the mixing and compaction temperatures and energy consumption and emissions, while maintaining the quality of HMA , is a new energy-saving and environment-friendly paving material, with a broad prospect. In order to develop the warm mix asphalt and prompt the sustainable development of pavement, some kinds of warm mix agent are summarized as follows.

The Mechanical Mechanism of Hulking Force Stable Principle of Surrounding Rocks in Soft Rock Roadway
Abstract: This paper aims to reveal the important role of the hulking force in stabilizing the roadway. After introducing the three ultimate strength of the foundation rock upon, starting from the perspective of stress state, the article on the deformation area surrounding rock for a more reasonable division, and thus gives the main factors roadway deformation.Introduced in the basis of the three ultimate strength of the rock, from the perspective of stress state, deformation of roadway surrounding rock area to carry on the reasonable division, and then the main factors of roadway deformation is presented. Second, through the analysis of the formation of the hulking force, analysis of hulking force inhibition of surrounding rock creep mechanism of dynamic mechanics, and analysis of the hulking force to improve the effect of supporting mechanics mechanism. Describes the important role of the hulking force on the stability of surrounding rock. Finally, Huaibei Coal Mining Co., 8203 guobei roadway industrial test site, Demonstrates the effectiveness of the principle. Results of this study have important reference value to change the current research in deep coal mine deep soft rock and loose seam roadway support mechanism and technology.

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to introduce a kind of control theory and technology of roadway floor heave and the surrounding rock of the upper part deformation in a high stress field. On the basis of the stress state theory in the modern mechanics, this paper which uses Yang Zhuang III1 mining area coal mine hoist room as the research and experimental object proposes a backplane anchor control principle and technology of the overall stability surrounding rock from the perspective of improving the stress state of surrounding rock particles. After the site industrial test, the technology has a very significant effect on the control of global stability of the surrounding rocks, large section, soft rock roadways and chambers.

Abstract: There ware numeral analysis by ABAQUS finite element software to discover the pile’s status with unloading abutment in soft ground, three model were built, first model was unloading abutment and pile supported reinforced embankment, second model was only unloading abutment, third model was only pile supported reinforced embankment, the piles horizontal displacement, axial force and bending moment were discussed; the results show that the piles horizontal displacement with pile supported reinforced are smaller than the others models, pile axial force in three model are little difference.

Abstract: In the actual production process, Zhengli Coal Mine has a problem to make sure that the width of chain pillars. This paper from the view of field application with theoretical calculation and numerical simulation method to calculate and verify the stability and security of the chain pillars, It achieved good effect and finally determined the width of chain pillars.
