Abstract: Combining with hydraulic model experiment of water diversion and power generation system of one hydropower station, the effects of different connection patterns between the tailrace tunnel outlet and downstream river bed and flow states in the transient process on the water level fluctuation in tailrace surge tank have been investigated. The results show that: there is not remarkable influence on water level fluctuation when tailrace water level in downstream river is higher or close to the ceiling height. On the opposite side , it has notable influence on water level fluctuation in the tailrace surge tank when tailrace water level in downstream is lower than the ceiling height, and the water level fluctuation in tailrace surge tank presents some regularity under the same connection pattern when the tailrace water level in downstream river is lower than the ceiling height.

Abstract: The porous discharge flow tube has been widely used in agriculture, water supply and drainage, ventilation, chemical and other fields. Flow characteristics directly affect the flow uniformity of the porous tube, thereby affecting the efficient use of it. The theoretical analysis and experimental study on the capacity of the porous tube’s discharge (flux of water) have the important project value and theoretical significance. In this paper,the total flow calculation formula is derived by the knowledge of hydraulics, the relation of discharge discount rate is calculated through dimensional analysis and the average single hole discharge formula is established based on some experimental data. The results of the test data and engineering data showed that the formula results and the test results are quite identical.

Abstract: The sliding movement of barrier landslide is a complex and dynamic process, because of the great effect of seismic action and huge surge. Adopting NURBS-TIN-BRep hybrid data structure and integrating with multi-source geological data, 3D geological model of the Tangjiashan quake dam was rebuild. The instability mechanism of the landslide was analyzed. Applying visualization technology, the whole formation process of the barrier dam, the production and development process of surge were fully and realistically displayed. These results above can help the engineering personnel to understand the whole condition of the Tangjiashan barrier dam. These research can provide some technical support for comprehensive governance scheme.

Abstract: Heel is a critical area due to the high-gradient when the stress of a concrete gravity dam is analyzed. This article employed ANSYS, a kind of structure analysis software, to establish a two-dimensional model and to analyze the stress of a concrete gravity dam with Finite Element Method. Then the effects of upstream slope ratio on the stress of the dam heel in the operating conditions were researched and some valuable conclusions drawn from this paper can be adopted by the designer of concrete gravity dam.

Abstract: Airport runway debris detection decides security of plane and passengers. The relative merits of the various types of sensor and the effects of adverse environmental conditions on their performance, a novel fuzzy weighted morphology algorithm of detection about runway debris is approved. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm, compared with a few classic algorithms of edge detection, which can achieves the image edge precisely and reduce noises, better retain the image details, and adaptively detect the complete and successive edges.

Abstract: Because the airport road surface is directly under the aircraft repeated taking off and landing, the airport road surface should have a good overall structure, high strength, good performance of anti overload fatigue. Under the long action of aircraft, road surface has been damaged. coupled with rising large wide body aircraft and air traffic, airport of old pavement disease gradually increased, the use of a sharp decline in performance, airport pavement performance directly affects the safty of the plane running. Through the research of the capital airport runway to central structure parameters, pavement on the basis of the findings, the distribution of the pavement structure parameters variability is analyzed, and the pavement damage condition of objective evaluation; combined with the drilling core sample laboratory test data and aviation business volume data, scientifically on the pavement damage character analysis, and provides a reference for future similar engineering treatment.

Abstract: The driver's visual features is crucial for traffic safety. The horizontal curve radius has a significant effect on the driver's visual features when driving on the expressway curve sections, which include the eye gazing scope, eyeball moving speed and so on. Through the measured data of the eye tracker system, the relationships between the horizontal curve radius and operating speed,eye gazing scope or eyeball moving speed and other traffic and visual features were studied systematically. The influence law of horizontal curve radius on the driver's visual features and their calculation formula was obtained. These achievements were beneficial to determine the expressway horizental alignment that ensure driver's visual comfort and improve the comfort and safety of highway driving. Meanwhile it can provide us some supplementary and reference for the specification.

Abstract: The degree of diffusion is an important index of aging asphalt regeneration process, and diffusion model can more direct regeneration of recycled asphalt pavement material is described. By comparing the different diffusion model, and a variety of different diffusion effect evaluation method, providing basic theoretical research for the regeneration agent in aging effect of diffusion asphalt.

Abstract: Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) has been widely used in the modified asphalt engineering around the world due to its excellent contribution to both high and low temperature performance of asphalt. The content of SBS plays a critical role in the performance of modified asphalt. Therefore, an accurate and effective method to quantify the SBS content in modified asphalt was proposed based on the Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy method. Two Infrared (IR) indices were provided to quantify the content of SBS. In addition, the practicability and accuracy of this method was verified by testing the prepared sample in laboratory.
