Abstract: With rapid development of renewable generator, Application of storage plays important role in improving energy efficiency. At first different kinds requirement of storage is analysed with detail case in paper. The trend of storage for future is Prospect. Then demand of new energy for power system is analysed and calculated. A decomposition model for Energy storage for renewable power generation is established. Some suggestion will be given for energy storage for GuangDong power gird co.Ltd.

Abstract: In recent years, the demand of Large LNG storage tank increases over time, but large LNG cryogenic storage tank has not yet established a series of standards and norms, and tank construction technology is also lagging behind. Aiming at the design of the tank form a single, smaller, did not tackle the issue of, this paper mainly discusses from Large LNG tanks, such as type, material selection, structure ,size optimization and so on, which can provide reference for independent construction of storage tank.

Abstract: With the development of an open economy in the Yangtze Delta region, energy has increasingly become an bottleneck for rapid economic development. Opening up will promote economic expansion and affect the efficiency of energy utilization in the process of economic development. The proper evaluation of the impact of opening up on the efficiency of energy utilization will help the intensity and direction of open door policy adjustment. The paper used the stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) approach to investigate the effect of foreign direct investment (FDI) and foreign trade on the efficiency of energy utilization of the Yangtze Delta region in China. The results show that FDI and foreign trade both are very vital for the improvement of the efficiency of energy utilization. Moreover, the elastic of FDI on the energy efficiency is larger than the elastic of foreign trade on the energy efficiency.

Abstract: Rapid increasing of installation capacity in west Inner Mongolia in the past years, especially in wind, PV and other renewable energy has bring new problem, such as accommodation ability of power market, the security and stability issues of the gird, etc. The energy storage technique is given more attention recently and proposed to apply to effectively improve the power resources redistribution and the accommodation ability of the intermittent energy, such as wind and solar power. Analysis suggest that the efficient use of energy storage technologies can help to enhance the stability of West Inner Mongolia power grid, reduce system spinning reserve, and help to improve grid management and power dispatch as well. It is of momentous significance for the development of West Inner Mongolia power grid.

Abstract: In the background of the main technologies of fuel economy in automobiles developed to a certain stage, it is necessary to reduce fuel consumption and increase the engine efficiency by developing other auxiliary technologies such as improving the ratio of pure energy drive, low rolling resistance tires, tire pressure monitoring system and gear shift indicators (GSI). This article introduces the principle of GSI, analyses how GSI works in improving engine efficiency, and then evaluates the method for determination of the relative saving rate of fuel consumption, which method was introduced in the EU regulation EC No. 65/2012.

Abstract: A 600 MW coal-fired power plant was taken as the object. How to optimize the operations conditions to keep good economics was investigated. The results show that the turbine heat rate of this unit after class I, II correction and aging correction was lower than the designed value. The unit was operated under good conditions. Throttling can decrease the performance ability of the steam in the turbine. Decreasing the throttling loss is beneficial to enhance the economics of the coal-fired power plant in practice.

Abstract: A new energy recovery system based on scroll expander is presented according to the characteristics of low-grade energy in this paper. It is discussed for the expression of the system efficiency and its influential factors with the method of Exergy Analysis. And the influence curves of relationship between the expander’s inlet pressure and system efficiency are obtained through computer simulation and laboratory experiments. The test result of the comparison of different the recycling system shows that the recycling method based on scroll expander is more efficiently than others in the area of recycling low-grade energy.

Abstract: “Rapid response” features enable supercapacitor energy storage systems (SCESSs), used as auxiliary equipment for primary frequency regulation (PFR), to meet the stability and reliability requirements of power grids. In this application, capacity allocation for SCESSs is studied through theoretical derivation and simulation experiments. Firstly, the application scenarios of SCESSs in PFR are analyzed on the basis of weak grid frequency characteristics. Secondly, in two typical operating modes, namely virtual inertia control and droop control, an integrated operating mode is presented with consideration of the start-stop timing and the output depth of SCESSs, and the relationship between the operating modes and rated powers is derived. Then, to satisfy simulation needs of PFR, an analysis model for SCESSs is built, and a common process of SCESS capacity allocation is summarized. Finally, the optimal rated power, virtual inertia coefficient and droop coefficient of an SCESS is calculated with reference events and frequency control requirements of a weak grid as the benchmark. The results show that aforementioned theory is correct and reasonable, and that the proposed method can achieve optimal frequency regulation effects with a small capacity.

Abstract: With the reserves of coal and other fossil energy decreasing, renewable energy sources (RES) will become the main power source of future power system. In order to ensure stable supply of RES generation and to improve efficiency of system, energy storage technology will play a more and more important role in power system. In this paper, we discussed the importance and characteristics of various energy storage technologies with battery and super capacitor energy storage technology as examples. Then we elaborated the principles and important effects of energy storage technologies in RES generation. Finally, using PSCAD to build the simulation model of grid connected RES generation and storage technology to obtain the effect of energy storage technologies. Results show that the energy storage devices can effectively alleviate the fluctuation of RES.

Abstract: Microencapsulated Phase change material can absorb and release large amounts of latent heat over a defined temperature range as its physical state changes. The microencapsulated PCM has high energy density and isothermal behavior during charging and discharging and can avoid the contradiction of the energy supply and demand unbalance in time and space. Meanwhile, the shell can separate the phase change material from the outside environment in order to protect the core material. But the super-cooling problem is a main barrier for microencapsulated PCM application. So this paper talks about how to dealing with super-cooling based on related literatures and gives an overview about the methodology in this area.
