Discussion on the Synergy Mechanism of Diversified Coal Enterprises

Abstract:

Taking the example of aCoal & Chemistry Industry Group and aiming at the problems like unclearindustry synergy motivation, path and target of China’s Diversified large coalenterprise groups, a case study is used to analyze the synergy mechanism of itsdiversified industries through the research procedure of open coding, selectivecoding, axial coding, the test of the theory saturation. The study shows theassociation between the main and expanded coal enterprises business, containingthree forms of association, which are business association, functionassociation and political association respectively. Besides, with the help ofthe internal market, circular utilization, transaction cost reduction,resources sharing, merge and reorganization, scarce resources acquisition andother measures to achieve these effects, for example risk diversification,economy of scope effects, economy of scale effects and market promotion effect,etc.
