Abstract:

Polymer Impregnated Concrete is concrete into which monomer is impregnated to achieve polymerization. The research and development of PIC had been conducted since 1960’s and concentrated in 1970s. The method of impregnating polymer partially into the surface of concrete of structures such as road bridges slabs and hydraulic dams came into practical use in the U.S.A
