Comparative Study of Metrics for Spectral Color Grouping

Article Preview

Abstract:

A new combined metric for color grouping was proposed after comparing to the grouping performance of several color metrics, including dominant wavelength, color purity and some metrics in color appearance model. The performance of this method was compared to four existing methods and the experiment result proved that our proposed method not only gained excellent colorimetric and spectral accuracy but also saved the calculating time obviously.
