Curve Construction for Virtual Hand Modeling and Manipulation

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, a curve description of human hand anterior surface is proposed. In a hybrid motion capture framework, template matching and Camshift algorithms are applied to track the colored markers and “V” shape labels attached on Cyberglove. 3D positions of nodes are computed from left and right images and regarded as the points passing through B-Spline curve. Control points of the curve are computed and the simulated curve in 3D space is demonstrated. The constructed curve can be used for virtual hand modeling and manipulation.
