Research on the In-Process Model Based on CIMS

Article Preview

Abstract:

Firstly, the idea put forward in this paper is Contemporary Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS) environment needs the In-Process Models (IPMs) which are associated completely with the information of design and manufacturing. Then, establishment of IPM by means of boolean subtraction between blank and machinable area features. Finally, many examples of verifying the feasibility of this method are presented.
