Abstract:

Short Electric Arc Machining (SEAM) tools were devised for cutting high hardness and strength conductive material. For solution of short electric arc mechanism research and the needs of numerical control melt application, it was necessary to develop a short electric arc CNC machining. The paper introduced the peculiarity and types of the numerical control system’s software and hardware in nowadays. According to the requirement of short electric arc machine an open CNC system was developed in this thesis.

[5] For building up an open CNC system, we must have an entire meticulous analysis of the CNC system function. On this foundation, according to the request of the open system structure to modularization, some function modeules which are independent, cohesion strong, coupled incompact are abstracted come out, and a basic function mold among them are found out. Then we Refine the basic function modules, find out Sub-modules whose function are comparative absolute, and regard every Sub-modules and insubdivisible function modules as the function cell of whole system. According to the request of Motion Control system, system should carry out the accuracy and speed of Motion Control, as well as adequately develop PC advantage. In order to make system software easily maintain, have reconfigurable and expansibility, the module design method was adopted when designing the software. This CNC system software can be divided into some function modules as follows: NC G_Code Process, Auto RUN, Manual RUN, Track Simulation, Parameters Setup, States Display, System Diagnose, Network Communications. The software function modules chart are showed Fig. 3. The design applicated Delphi programming software to complete the interface of SEAM host computer , affording excellent interface of Human-computer Input-output. Application and summarizes On studying technology of short electric arc machine technology, making use of Numerical control, mechatronic transmission control technique, Motion control technology and calculator software programming technology, a series of controlling system suitable for short electric arc Machining Machine Tool , had successfully been developed and passed practical debugging and run on software and hardware. The result showed that this system had reached to the design requirement . In the actual application, the system achieved precision control of motion trochoid of cutter in plane through 2-Axis, realized the computer numerical control of SEAM machining. Through collection of current , voltage , air pressure and hydraulic pressure in medium in process, the system realize the half closed-loop control, complete the processing for hard surface material. Fig. 5 is photograph of roller before-after SEAM machining. Through the design of numerical control system of short electric arc machine and application in practice, summaries were as follows. (1) Through research of the system structure, we analyzed the merit and shortcomings of the open type controlling system . And aim at the actual request of this topic, chose NC to PC structure, namely the structure of the work control machine+ sport control card,. According to the request of open type system structure, while carry on system design, at logical carried on to the CNC systems the layer turn of the function divide the line, the number which builds up to have an open type a characteristic controls system structure, namely the whole piece control system to constitute to from the hardware terrace, terrace and applied software of the system software. (2) Using Motion Control Card and multithreading technology , we achieved CNC system real-time multitasking and accomplished the design of numerical control system l control. (3) The work developed Software of numerical control system and carried out good integration of every part software. The software function can be completely realized on host Computer, the visualization graphics directly displayed the user . Man-machine interface adopted, which had friendly interface and easily used. The Delphi7. 0 merit made compiler well integrate with else parts. The whole system software provided a advantaged foundation condition for the further development. (4) studying the reason that the numerical control system produced Jamming signal (disturbance signal ), the anti-jamming technique aiming at power supply, channels and transducer had been brought forward.
