Application of Multifactor Ranking Method in Industrial Project Site Selection

Abstract:

Industrial construction project site selection, which shall focus on analyzing economical factor of much difference from various plans with consideration of the influences by social political, economical and environmental factors, put forward Multifactor Ranking Method. It combines the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Distance Comprehensive Evaluation Method based on Spatial Statistics together with working out weight of each factor by Analytic Hierarchy Process firstly, ranking the relative proximity of decision object by Distance Comprehensive Evaluation Method secondly, making best decision subsequently. Lastly, it is applied to ranking the advantages and disadvantages of the alternative sites of a power plant project and the results proved to be objective and effective.
