Block Adjustment for Generic Geometric Model Using Points and Straight-Lines

The characteristics of straight-lines and points were discussed first, and a geometric correction method based on straight-line features was introduced. In this paper, a block adjustment method combining points and straight-lines was deduced, and this method is not confined to a specific imaging geometric model, and can be applied to different data sources. Analysis of the applicability of the proposed block adjustment method shows that, bundle aerial triangulation and block adjustment with tied straight-lines is feasible. However, when this method is applied in stereo modeling from stereo-pair images, additional control data is needed.
