Wave-Induced Load Study on a Deck Barge

Article Preview

Abstract:

There are wide molded breadth and molded depth of the deck barge, so the ship specification cannot be used to calculate the deck barge’s wave-induced load[1]. According to the deck barge’s characteristics its wave-induced load has been calculated using 3D-dimensional hydroelasticity theory in the present paper, the dry-modal model and panel model have been established, and the oscillating pressure and wave-induced load have been calculated. The calculation results show that the method is reasonable to calculate the wave-induced load of the deck barge.
