Optimization of the Disc Cutter Structure Parameters Based on Genetic Algorithm

Article Preview

Abstract:

In the process of shield tunneling construction, the energy consumption is a prominent issue. The disc cutter blade angle, blade tip width and corner radius are taken as design variables, and the minimum cutting special energy consumption as the target, the structural parameter optimization model of disc cutter is established. Genetic algorithm (GA) is used in the mathematical model, and the optimal solution is shown: the disc cutter blade angle is 26°, the blade tip width is 8 mm, and the corner radius is 5 mm. Compared to the actual construction data, the results are satisfactory.
