Research on the Data Modeling of PDM Based on SmarTeam

Abstract:

Current manufacturing industry requires product data management (PDM) for efficient product development and production. As a key tool of PDM, SmarTeam provides comprehensive management capabilities for data associated with products, covering concept formulation, design, manufacture, maintenance and disposal. In this paper, based on the notions of Class and Object, an integrated model to aid data management of product is proposed.
