Synthesis of Polyphenylene Sulfide-Intercalated Layered Manganese Oxide Nanocomposite as Electrode Material for Electrochemical Capacitor
Polyphenylene sulfide-intercalated layered manganese oxide (PPS-MnO2) nanocomposite is synthesized via the delamination/reassembling process. SEM images and XRD analysis indicate that the surface of the nanocomposite material is layered and the basal spacing of PPS-MnO2 was 1.69 nm. The maximum speciﬁc capacitance as obtained from cyclic voltammetry was 524.0 F•g−1. The speciﬁc capacitance decreases by 6% of the initial value over 1000 cycles at a high current density of 2mA•cm-2.
