Comparative Studies on Central Heating by Different Heat Sources

Article Preview

Abstract:

The central heating model of a residential area in the suburb of Xi’an city was established to make a comparative study on central heating by different heat sources (natural gas boiler, coal boiler and biomass boiler). In the study, the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was used to compare the central heating method with different heat sources from the aspects of economy and environmental impact. The results showed that, with the prerequisite of biomass boiler technology’s further advancement, developing biomass boiler heating technology on a large scale was feasible considering biomass’s social benefit and its characteristics of low pollution, large reserves and renewable.
