Effects of Operation Parameters on Desulphurization of Hot Metal with Passive Magnesium and Calcium Oxide in CSP Plant of WISCO

Article Preview

Abstract:

The effects of operation parameters on desulphurization of hot metal with passive magnesium and calcium oxide injection in CSP plant of WISCO. have been studied in this paper. On basis of industrial optimization trials’ results on hot metal desulphurization, the original desulphurization process had been modified. Through the new-developed desulphurization process, desulfurizer consumptions have been decreased a lot by 40% with passive magnesium and 34% with lime respectively. Economical profits can be seen from the desulphurization process.
