Shopping Path Analysis and Administration Based on WIFI Data

Article Preview

Abstract:

The WIFI technology plays an import part in business intelligence areas. Considering its low cost and convenience to use, we propose a WIFI deployment model for collecting the customers' shopping path data and purchased items data. First we define preference value (PV) and conclude its relationship with sales value (SV). Then we present an algorithm to obtain the preference path and the best sales path. Based on the differences between the two paths we come up with some suggestions to improve the in-store management.
