Seismic Response Analysis of Suspension Arch Bridge

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper calculated the seismic response of suspension arch bridge witch subject the seismic loads in longitudinal, transverse, vertical or their combination based on the dynamic characteristics analysis. The results indicated that the earthquake-resistance capability of suspension arch bridge were under-estimated while not considering damping and were over-estimated while not considering gravity stiffness. The conclusions provided necessary reference for study and design of suspension arch bridge.
