Study on Compliant Spring Based on Pseudo Rigid Body Model

Abstract:

The precision of micromanipulator is affected by the characteristic of compliant spring. With consideration of nonlinearity and large deformation, the dynamic equation of compliant spring based on principle of Bernoulli-Euler equation and pseudo rigid body model are proposed in this paper. The relationships among property of load, displacement, curvature etc and geometrical parameter are analyzed. The stress equation of compliant spring is established. Experiments show that this model is correct and can be used to design precise micromanipulators efficiently.
