Research of Minimum Ship Safety Manning for Trial

Article Preview

Abstract:

The evaluation model of a new assignment of manning on board of coasters while maintaining the current level of safety is proposed. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is applied to determine the relative weights of the quantitative evaluation criteria, and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) is applied to determine the relative weights of the qualitative evaluation criteria. Finally, Topsis model is applied to rank the alternatives. Empirical results show that the proposed methods are viable approaches in solving the evaluation the minimum Ship Safety Manning
