Effect of the Cutting Speed and Temperature on the Cutting Behavior of Hardened Steel 42CrMo with PCBN Tool

Abstract:

The cutting behavior of hardened steel 42CrMo with PCBN cutting tool was studied. The wear and the bottom chip were examined by means of scanning electron microscopy model JSM6490LV. The wear mechanism of tool was also analyzed.
