Application of Surfer 8.0 in Earthwork Calculations and Accuracy Analysis

Article Preview

Abstract:

Earthwork calculations are frequently involved in civil engineering. Due to limitations in different terrain conditions and measurement environment, the result of calculation often varies from the fact. Based on existing literatures, this paper builds a mathematical model with some interpolation methods provided by Surfer. We use the model to grid the data, calculate the earthworks, and perform accuracy analysis. The volume of the calculation is proved to be precise enough to be applied to the road and the waterway dredging engineering. The result provides reliable basis to the application of suffer in complex geographical environment such as the river and road.
