Dynamic Characteristics of Curing Agent Modified Saline Soil in Laboratory Tests

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to investigate the effect of coastal saline soil which modified by KD curing agent as the highway roadbed filler, a series of triaxial tests were conducted in the indoor. the law of the strength, dynamic characteristics and stress - strain relations against vibration frequency changing with dynamic load on modified soil were studied. Based on the experimental results, the morphology and mechanical properties of modified soil will not be affected under the dynamic load of earthquake and traffic. It can be showed a good correlation between the de-struction of plastic deformation and the classical power law model. The ratio that dynamic strength number di-vided by static strength number of modified soil is less than the ordinary clay under the same conditions. It can be concluded that the modified soil has good strength and durability, and it suitable for a safe and reliable highway roadbed filler.
